* The name Emmaus Ministries Inc. is adopted from a story in the Bible in Luke 24:13-35. There were two men on their way to a village called Emmaus, which was about seven miles from Jerusalem. While they were walking, Jesus, in his newly resurrected state, came upon them and began to walk with them. Of course the conversation started with recent events surrounding the death and burial of Jesus. It was the talk of the town. The two didn’t recognize Jesus at first. At this point Jesus began to teach the two about what the Scriptures had to say about all that had taken place. Eventually, of course, the two recognized Jesus and began to tell others…
